Writing For Broadcasting

-        write and speak as an intimate conversation
-        ears rather than eyes
"have you  over noticed that when you must struggle to hear something, you close your eyes" (Marilyn  Vos Savant).
-        no repeat (ex. radio or tv)
Provision of broadcasting is :
·         use plain english (Not using words in english is difficult). No time for audience to find the meaning of one complex
·         use concrete word (Words should be clear)
·         avoid inverted sentences
·         thus the news should:
®    use active voice
®    use short senteces
®    avoid using clause
®    use every day expression (daily word)
®    reduse the use of adjective and adverb
®    use contractions

News Story Structure:
1.      Who was involved
2.      What happened
3.      When did it happen
4.      Where did it happen
5.      Why did it happen
6.      How did it happen
